Calling Product Managers in the Cambridge area...

UPDATE 25-Sept-09: Following the meeting last night, we now have a nascent group who plan to meet on a monthly basis. There's a separate ning network to help us co-ordinate our activites -- see http://product-management.ning.com/.
----------------
Many of us find our way into product management through informal routes, and wonder whether we’re “doing it right”. Some of us are lucky enough to get some training in product management from organisation like Pragmatic Marketing Inc.

If you’re interested in finding out what other product managers do, the tools & resources they use, what works & what doesn’t, and maybe even get help and advice, then please post here. I’m interested in setting up a local group to discuss any & all things product management.

Cheers,

Colin.

Hi Colin,

Consider me "dragged in" also - but willingly!

Thanks

Hi - I'm definitely interested in joining up. I was until recently Service Portfolio Manager for Nortel (essentially a product manager for professional services) but am now looking for a new challenge...

OK, so this got more interest than I was expecting!

Let's see if we can meet up early after work one evening in September. We're happy to host at Red Gate's offices (http://3.ly/ipZ).

I've set up a doodle poll, to find a date that works for as many of us as possible: http://www.doodle.com/3xzf9ibnzisp2qhy.

Colin,

I'd like to hear more about the group as it develops.

I've worked on doing product management and on building software tools for improving the lot of product managers.

Regards
Paul

Hi Colin,

I'd be interested to join. I'm currently in the transition moving into Product Management so this sounds very useful.

Thanks,
Jo
