I gather I'm not the only one with a problem trying to run Microsoft Outlook with the Windows Vista operating system. What I'd like to know is, does anyone have a fix?
The problem seems to arise form the fact that I have two e-mail addresses, each with their own POP and SMTP servers. Naturally I need separate Outlook accounts for the two addresses to receive the incoming POP mail but, as one SMTP server seems to be better than the other, I wast to use just one SMTP server for both addresses.
This worked OK under Windows XP, but in Vista I get asked for the usernames and passwords individually each time I open Outlook, and then to confirm Administrator permission for each one. This is despite the fact that I'd asked the OS to remember the username/password each time - which it does - but seems incapable of "clicking its own OK button".
Can anyone help me to set up the Outlook accounts, and any other Outlook settings, to get it to work as effortlessly under Vista as it did under XP?
