Just to correct myself: Office 2007 Home and Student Edition doesn't include Outlook. Duh.

Problem now solved, or rather worked around, by switching to Windows Mail.

David, in adding to Chris' suggestion, I have a similar setup as yours (Vista, Office 2007) and have happily run multiple incoming/outgoing servers (I have additionally disabled the User Account Control to avoid administrator approvals) . Happy to...

First of all, what version of Outlook are you running?
It seems likely that it's Outlook 2002 or earlier, since there's a known problem with Outlook 2002 on Vista that sounds similar to your problem. Unfortunately, there isn't a fix - Outlook 200...
